In addition to development of a non-touch cutting and sealing methodology using a highly reliable laser, we determined that the placement of the material onto the cutting table was extremely important. Therefore, we developed a new servo motorized roll-off unit. The unit provides a more efficient way to handle otherwise heavy rolls. Through motorization and integration of roll speed with conveyor movement, the roll-off system provides an easy way to unroll fabric smoothly onto the table without stretch or puckering.

 

This solved a number of problems as flatter media leads to improved finding of register marks, improved layout of the fabric decreases stretch and puckering that both make the distortions easier to handle and decrease problems with the fabric when utilizing the mechanical driven wheel for fabrics that cannot be cut by laser.

Auto feeder for Rigid Boards

The Auto Feeder allows for delivery of pallets of print from either side, or from the back end, and automatically picks up single pieces for reliable delivery to the conveying system on the cutting table.

A sheet/board feeder may seem like an extravagant addition to a flatbed cutting/routing system until you understand the productivity enhancements that it brings to a finishing operation.
